Recently Raben has enriched its offer with a daily groupage service between Timisoara and Sofia with the lead time of 24-72 hours. This is another connection launched between Romania and Bulgaria which will facilitate the trade on the Black Sea and with Schengen countries and contribute to the development of the European network of Raben Group at the same time.
Raben entered the Bulgarian market in the autumn of 2019 and then it was a kind of foothold, the southernmost country in the Group. The Bulgarian company focused on working with customers from the automotive, chemical, textile and food processing industries. Now, 2.5 years after opening a company in Bulgaria, it is directly connected to Romania with daily lines Ruse - Bucharest and Sofia - Timisoara. The latter, which has been operational for a short time, guarantees delivery in no more than 72 hours. The creation of a new connection ensures stability and predictability of logistic solutions offered by the Group.
The new connection will allow more efficient transport of shipments between Bulgaria and Romaniaoreover, it is of great importance from the point of view of the countries belonging to the Schengen Area. Using Timisoara in Bulgaria as a transloading terminal is a strategic business move. Thanks to it, we are the first on the market to provide daily service to Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Germany and Hungary, and in the future also to Italy - says Robert Wolny, CEE Market Development Manager at Raben Group.
The Sofia - Timisoara line handles groupage transports, including electronics. It complements the logistics operator's offer in the region and responds to local transport needs. It is also part of a larger project to integrate European markets within Raben Group and expand its international network.
