On 9th June 2025 Fresh Logistics Polska held the grand opening of its new logistics center in Łomża. The modern facility, located on Ciepła Street, is not only a significant investment for the company but also an important development boost for the entire region. The center supports the continued expansion of temperature-controlled logistics services, meeting the needs of an increasingly demanding fresh products market.
The new Fresh Logistics Polska facility in Łomża is a state-of-the-art logistics space with a total area of 6,603 m², designed for comprehensive handling of temperature-sensitive products. The cross-docking area covers 2,721 m² and is maintained at a constant temperature of 2–6°C. With 20 loading docks, it enables efficient and effective shipment handling. The facility also includes an Ultra Fresh chamber (0–2°C) with an area of 141 m², intended for the safe storage of highly perishable products such as fresh meat or fish. Additionally, the contract logistics zone spans 2,044 m² and allows for the storage of 2,334 pallets, accessible via eight loading docks. The site is also equipped with three independent freezer chambers measuring 501 m², 505 m², and 688 m², offering a total capacity of 3,252 pallets at -23°C, ensuring the safe storage of frozen goods.
It’s also worth highlighting the environmental aspects of the investment. The new Fresh Logistics warehouse is equipped with photovoltaic panels and a heat pump, enabling the facility to source 100% of its electricity from renewable energy. It features modern refrigeration systems secured with an innovative fire protection solution using a dual dry loop, as well as the latest forklifts powered by lithium-ion batteries, which are environmentally friendly and energy-efficient. All goods are transported using a fleet that meets the EURO 6 emissions norm, ensuring high ecological standards at every stage of the supply chain.
Logistics center in Łomża provides comprehensive logistics services including domestic and international distribution, warehousing, and value-added services such as packaging and VAS (e.g., creating promotional sets). It also serves as a key hub for transport to and from the Baltic countries, enabling higher service standards, faster deliveries, and increased flexibility.
“In fresh product logistics, time is of the essence. Timely service delivery, while maintaining the highest quality and, most importantly, food safety, is crucial. This new investment meets those demands through efficient layout and innovative infrastructure as well as IT solutions. Continuous development is the only guarantee of success and a way to build a competitive advantage not only for our company but above all for our business partners.” - comments Tomasz Polański, Regional Director at Fresh Logistics Polska.
The new investment has also led to increased employment in the region. The facility’s launch created jobs in both warehouse and office areas, including logistics, administration, transport, and customer service roles.
“The opening of the new Fresh Logistics Polska warehouse has contributed to employment growth among both warehouse and office staff. Our company’s development is also a stimulus for the local economy. The rising volume of orders is fueling the development of transport companies in the Łomża region that operate routes for Fresh Logistics Polska. As a result, we’re strengthening not just the logistics sector but also empowering local businesses to thrive.”- said Krzysztof Godlewski, Branch Manager in Łomża, Fresh Logistics Polska.
This investment marks a major milestone in the 17-year history of the Łomża branch, which has been part of Poland’s logistics landscape since 2008. Continuous development is part of the company’s DNA, as evidenced by the increase in volume handled by the branch – from 20,000 pallets per month in 2008 to 190,000 in 2024. With the new distribution center, the company can further increase these figures, while continuously improving service standards and delivery flexibility.
Fresh Logistics Polska consistently implements its development strategy by investing in innovative solutions and local communities. Once again, the company proves that modern logistics and high-quality services can go hand in hand with a responsible approach to the labor market and strong relationships with business partners.
