Raben on the way with the Noble Gift

In 2023, over 1,000 families from all over Poland can enjoy Christmas gifts thanks to the support provided by Raben Group to the Noble Gift (Szlachetna Paczka). The logistics operator is a partner of the campaign for the fifth year in a row. During this year's Weekend of Miracles, over 30 trucks covered almost 9,000 km, transporting over 600 pallets to approximately 50 delivery points throughout Poland.

Raben has been supporting Noble Gift since 2019 and has been its logistics partner for 4 years. The operator provides its vehicles, drivers and logisticians, as well as many years of experience. As a result, Raben trucks travel through Poland during the Weekend of Miracles, when organized aid reaches those most in need.

What exactly does such cooperation involve? We encourage you to read the summary of the interview with Agnieszka Stypuła, Senior Customer Service Specialist at Raben Logistics Polska, and Kasia Ostojska, Marketing Manager in this company, published in February this year on the Noble Gift website.

What is the cooperation between Raben and the Noble Gift?

Agnieszka Stypuła: First of all, on bringing good together. As a logistics company, we organize the transport of some parcels awaited by families throughout Poland.

Kasia Ostojska: We help as best as we can, by doing what we have been doing well for years, i.e. transporting goods. We provide our vehicles, drivers and logisticians, as well as many years of experience. As a result, Raben trucks travel across Poland and reach those in need. We contribute by sharing our resources and experience for a noble cause. I must admit that it is a very satisfying feeling when you help with the company you work for.

What are the logistics of an event like Weekend of Miracles?

Agnieszka Stypuła: Logistical preparations for the entire project start much earlier than the start of the Weekend of Miracles. Based on the reports received from the WIOSNA Association (organizer of the Noble Gift campaign), we contact individual Raben branches throughout Poland. We provide them with data: the number of parcels to be transported, loading and delivery locations. And that's when our most intense work begins - we plan routes and connect loads so that they reach their destinations on time. We then assign drivers who will complete the transports. Additionally, we try to determine the approximate delivery time to destination warehouses, because this is also important in the further distribution of parcels. When the Weekend of Miracles starts, we check whether the drivers have arrived for loading at the agreed place, and then we coordinate whether there will be any delays, e.g. due to weather conditions or traffic jams. From my own experience, I can say that in transport, unfortunately, we cannot predict every situation that may generate a possible delay. That is why it is so important to act on the action-reaction principle. Ultimately, we strive to ensure that the goods entrusted to us reach their recipients on time. Both in everyday work and during events such as the Weekend of Miracles.

What motivates drivers and logisticians to act as part of Szlachetna Paczka?

Agnieszka Stypuła: If we can do something good together, we always get involved in it. Additionally, we realize that today someone else needs help, and tomorrow we may find ourselves in a worse life situation. And as we all know - good always returns! That is why both drivers and logisticians are always eager to take part in such projects.

Kasia Ostojska: I think that the motivator for us and our involved people is also the possibility of achieving some kind of fulfillment by belonging to something bigger - a nationwide project that brings smiles to thousands of faces. There is also this feeling of pride and a mental pat on the back for a job well done - being part of the Noble Gift for a moment.

Transport accompanies us every day, treated as a service so common that we sometimes forget about its potential. And yet it is not only simply needed - combined with human energy and good will, it can work miracles, not only on the Weekend of Miracles...
