Since 2012, Raben Group has conducted the Shadowing project. The program assumes inviting a student for one day during which he or she follows the people on managerial positions on their normal day of work. Such actions aim at presenting the specifics of a given post or profession. The student has the possibility of learning more about the organisation itself, the way it operates, and its culture. This year three shadows spent a day in Raben companies in Poland: in Fresh Logistics, Raben Transport and in Raben Management Services. One of them was the student of the Poznań School of Logistics who had a chance to accompany the e-Commerce Director in Raben Group, Małgorzata Dzięgielewska, during one day of her work. On that day he participated in negotiations with software providers, teleconferences with Customers, and in internal meetings. "Shadowing allows us to share the knowledge of the market and to get the feedback from outside. It is estimated that in 2015, 75% of employees will represent generation Y. That is why today we are setting up cooperation with the best of them by offering them a possibility to learn the specifics of work in Raben Group. The students who participated in the previous editions of the program were later invited to job interviews so the benefits are mutual" comments the CSR Leader in Raben Group, Marta Szymborska."Being a part of the Shadowing project was a valuable experience for me, says Szczepan Górtowski, the student of the Poznań School of Logistics. For two days I was a part of the team working on various projects - starting from logistics and ending with economic and IT analyses. The e-Commerce department expanded and systematised my knowledge on the latest solutions in the online trade. This is practical knowledge unavailable in any course book."
