By tram to work in Raben

The end of 2022 is very intense for many companies. It is no different in Raben Logistics Polska, which has just started operations in a new branch in Warsaw. This is probably the only branch of the company which can be reached by... tram.

The new facility in the capital city is located on the right bank of the Vistula River, in the Białołęka commune, at 9 Daniszewska Street. Although operations in Raben-Warsaw started in November, the official opening for employees in the presence of the Company's Management Board and the ceremonial ribbon cutting took place on December 8, 2022.

Simultaneously with the start of reloading operations, an international platform was launched in the branch. Since December, the so-called international linehouls, i.e. cars with shipments to the Baltic States and Finland.

“I am glad that now Raben can mark its presence in Warsaw more clearly. Thanks to the new location, we can not only efficiently deliver shipments within the city or region. The new point on the map of our locations is also another step in the development of the company, both in terms of domestic and international distribution,” comments Jolanta Sawińska, Regional Director of Raben Logistics Polska.

The branch itself is a modern and ecological facility in which solutions supporting energy efficiency and low emissions have been applied. Including, among others skylights providing access to daylight, or LED lighting - controlled by motion sensors. The facility is equipped with 71 reloading ramps and innovative storage solutions, such as forklifts with Li-lon (lithium-ion) batteries, whose advantage is the short time of recharging the energy and the possibility of recharging the batteries.

Raben at Daniszewska Street is located near both bus stops and the Żerań Wschodni (East) tram terminus, which makes it much easier for employees to get to work. A total of about 250 people found employment in the depot.

“Thanks to the new location, we will be able to offer more solutions tailored to the needs of our customers. Not only because we have a new facility, but because committed employees work here. This is another branch where we have built a professional team of people with passion, who like what they do” – sums up Jolanta Sawińska.
