2026.10.01

Raben Management Services won 1st place in the "Talent Development in the Organization" category for the project "Road Network Academy – From Internal Talent to International Impact", while Raben Transport received a distinction in the "Employee Wellbeing" category for the project "Raben Wellbeing 365 – Health, Prevention and Safety at the Heart of the Organization." Both projects were among the 33 nominees selected from 169 submissions in the 10th edition of the HR Dream Team competition organized by Pracuj.pl.

An Environment Where People Can Grow

The Raben Group operates in 17 countries, continuously opens new branches, and carries out acquisitions. This scale and pace of growth require effective knowledge sharing, the implementation of common standards, and the preparation of employees for new challenges and work in an international environment.

For this reason, the Group develops initiatives that support employees both in their professional development and in their everyday wellbeing. Projects such as Road Network Academy enable employees to expand their competencies, gain new experience, and prepare for participation in international projects. At the same time, wellbeing initiatives focus on health, prevention, and safety.

By combining these perspectives, Raben aims to create a working environment that gives employees the opportunity to grow, take on new challenges, and realize their full potential, while also supporting them in areas important to their everyday lives.

When Business Needs Meet Employee Potential

Road Network Academy was created in response to a specific business challenge faced by the Raben Group. As the organization expanded, the demand grew for experts who combine operational knowledge with the competencies required to work in an international environment. The Group needed a system that would not only identify such individuals within the organization but also deliberately prepare them to participate in projects of strategic importance.

The answer was Road Network Academy, a project developed jointly by the Road Network and HR teams. Its goal was to recognize talent already present within the Raben Group, develop employees' potential, and prepare them to take on new challenges and participate in international projects.

The business side of the project was led by Anna Olszańska, Group Road Network Operations Manager, who was actively involved in its development and implementation. On the HR side, Anna Donaj, Group Recruitment Lead, played a key role in supporting the project through every stage, from program design and participant recruitment to its ongoing development and cooperation with the business.

“This distinction confirms that investing in the talent we already have within the organization is worthwhile. Road Network Academy demonstrates how we can connect employees' ambitions and potential with business needs while creating development opportunities that go beyond a local perspective. Winning first place in the HR Dream Team competition is a tremendous source of pride for the entire team.” - Anita Koralewska-Ratajczak, Head of HR, Raben Management Services

An Academy Built by Raben People

One of the key strengths of Road Network Academy is its reliance on the knowledge and experience already available within the organization. The program was designed and delivered by the HR and Road Network teams without the support of external training providers.

Directors, managers, and Raben experts were engaged as trainers and mentors, sharing practical experience in transport, logistics, X-Dock operations, IT, warehouse administration, and other operational areas. The Academy combined competency development with practical application. Participants worked on real-life case studies and operational tasks, using not only specialist knowledge but also their problem-solving, decision-making, and international collaboration skills.

The program included mentoring, meetings with management, competency assessments, and certification.

A key element of the Academy was translating newly acquired competencies into practical experience in a real business environment. Graduates received priority access to international implementation and optimization projects, allowing them to apply their new knowledge in practice and gain the experience needed to take on future strategic challenges.

“From the very beginning, Road Network Academy has connected employee development with real operational needs. Drawing on the experience of senior management, participants prepare for involvement in international projects. I am pleased that graduates from successive editions have already been able to apply their newly acquired competencies in practice. We intend to continue developing this program because we see its value both for participants and for the organization as a whole.” - Anna Olszańska, Group Road Network Operations Manager, Raben Management Services

An Academy That Begins Where Training Ends

Road Network Academy combines talent development with specific business needs. The program increases the availability of experts prepared to work on international projects, supports employee mobility, and enables the organization to leverage the competencies of people who already understand the company and its way of working.

The Academy's greatest value is therefore not the knowledge gained during the program itself, but the opportunity to transform that knowledge into real experience and tangible business impact.

“Our goal was not to train another group of experts. We wanted to prepare people who will help shape the future of Raben. Training ends when knowledge is acquired. The Academy begins where knowledge is transformed into real business impact.” - Aleksander Kroll, Head of Road Network, Raben Management Services

This combination of HR and business perspectives has made it possible to create a solution that meets both organizational and employee needs. The Academy enables participants to develop their potential, acquire new competencies, and apply them in practice in line with the company's development direction.

At the same time, it engages managers who, by sharing their knowledge and experience, directly contribute to building the competencies the Raben Group needs for the future.

"The Academy allows us to connect employee potential with the company's development direction. From the outset, our intention was not to create another training program, but a solution that enables participants to gain knowledge and apply it immediately in practice. For managers, it is also an opportunity to share experience and have a real impact on shaping the competencies needed within the organization."

Second Recognition for Raben Transport

The 10th edition of the HR Dream Team competition also recognized a project implemented by Raben Transport. "Raben Wellbeing 365 – Health, Prevention and Safety at the Heart of the Organization" received a distinction in the "Employee Wellbeing" category.

“The Raben Wellbeing 365 project is first and foremost driven by our employees. Thanks to their commitment, initiatives are created close to the everyday needs and experiences of our people. I am delighted that their many years of engagement and teamwork have been recognized in the HR Dream Team competition.” - Piotr Banasiak, Managing Director, Raben Transport

The project includes initiatives supporting health, prevention, and safety, as well as educational programs and activities promoting a healthy lifestyle. It is delivered by the CSR & Wellbeing Project Team, which has been developing new initiatives in response to employee needs since 2017.

“We want health, prevention, and safety to become a natural part of our organization and our employees' everyday lives. This distinction shows that consistently building such an approach truly matters and is a great source of satisfaction for us.” - Magdalena Jahns, Marketing Manager and CSR & Wellbeing Leader, Raben Transport

Development, Wellbeing and Safety: A Shared Perspective

The recognition of these Raben Group projects demonstrates the company's broad approach to people-related initiatives, ranging from developing internal talent and building future competencies to supporting health, prevention, and safety.

Road Network Academy and Raben Wellbeing 365 address different needs, but they share a common goal: creating a work environment where employees can develop their potential, take on new challenges, and receive support in areas important to their daily lives.

This approach enables the organization to balance employee needs with business objectives. Competency development and new experiences prepare employees for future challenges, while wellbeing initiatives support health, prevention, and safety. Together, these perspectives create an environment in which employee development and business success can go hand in hand.

The HR Dream Team awards recognize not only the projects themselves but, above all, the people behind their creation and development. It is the combination of HR expertise, business experience, and the commitment of managers and employees that makes it possible to create solutions that address real organizational needs while enabling people to realize their full potential.
