Raben Transport took 3rd place in the “Initiative of the Year” category at the Kompas ESG 2026 competition. The jury recognized the project “Decarbonisation of heavy transport through the implementation of HVO100 and fleet electrification,” which supports the low-emission transformation of road transport and combines environmental goals with business development.

Kompas ESG awards are granted to organisations implementing projects with measurable social, environmental, and economic impact. Kompas ESG is an informational and educational initiative supporting companies in sustainable transformation and ESG strategy implementation, also serving as a basis for ratings and non-financial assessments of companies. The winners were announced during the 4th edition of the Kompas ESG Congress, one of the most important events dedicated to sustainable development and responsible business in Poland.

“This recognition confirms that the decarbonisation of heavy transport can be implemented in practice and deliver measurable results. For several years, we have consistently developed the use of HVO100 fuel and introduced electric vehicles into daily transport operations. At the same time, we support our customers and partners in finding solutions that reduce emissions without compromising business efficiency. We are pleased that Raben Transport’s efforts have been recognised and appreciated by the Kompas ESG jury,” says Joanna Górna, Business Development Manager for Sustainability at Raben Transport, who represented the company at the Kompas ESG 2026 awards ceremony.

The awarded initiative includes the implementation of HVO100 fuel, development of proprietary biofuel refuelling infrastructure, electrification of the truck fleet, and a driver training programme using VR technology. These activities are part of the long-term decarbonisation strategy pursued by the Raben Group and support the goal of achieving 75% of the fleet powered by alternative fuels by 2030.

In 2024 and 2025, the company launched its own HVO100 refuelling stations in Gądki and Gliwice. Currently, several dozen vehicles in its own fleet use this fuel. Contracted carriers cooperating with Raben Transport have also been included in the project.

At the same time, the company is developing its fleet of electric heavy-duty vehicles. In 2025, four additional vehicles of this type were brought into operation. In total, seven electric trucks are already handling transport for customers.

An important element of the project is also the development of drivers’ competences. By the end of 2025, 85% of Raben Transport drivers had completed training using VR Truck Simulators, covering eco-driving, safety, and operational efficiency.

In this year’s Kompas ESG competition, projects submitted in the “Initiative of the Year” category represented companies from various sectors – from logistics and trade to healthcare, industry, and finance. A podium place confirms that Raben Transport’s activities are among the most valuable ESG initiatives currently implemented in Poland.

The Kompas ESG 2026 award is another recognition for Raben Transport’s consistent efforts towards sustainable development and the transformation of the TSL sector towards a low-emission future.
