Raben Group has published its annual Sustainability Report, which details the Group's efforts and progress towards its ESG commitments and highlights key sustainability initiatives.
The purpose of this report is to transparently communicate company efforts and progress towards achieving sustainability strategy targets while fostering SDG goals. Covering all entities and operations within the company, the report underscores Raben commitment to transparency and accountability in sustainability efforts.
In 2023, Raben Group remained steadfast in its commitment to reducing emissions in alignment with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) targets. To achieve this, the company focused on reducing the emissions intensity of transport and real estate activities. Notably, Raben decided to start testing biofuel (HVO100) in its own fleet and continued investments in the truck fleet improvement, development of electromobility and warehouses designed to significantly reduce GHG emissions. the Group also maintained a high share of green energy in the electricity mix, resulting in a nearly 23% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions compared to 2020 (base year).
“2023 was another challenging year on our ESG agenda. RG continues to join efforts on projects with our customers, our carriers and our business partners to shape and improve our impact on environment, communities and work environment. We are pleased with the progress we have made on the sustainability and look forward to taking the next steps in 2024” – said Ewald Raben, CEO of the Company.
Raben Group commitment to sustainability has resulted in significant achievements, including a marked increase in Ecovadis rating to 65 points in 2024.
“We are proud to have achieved a rating of 'good' or better in all areas, with 'advance' in the environment category. We are also delighted to announce that we have achieved an impressive A- rating in the 2023 CDP Climate disclosure, underlining our commitment to climate action and transparency.” – said Ewelina Jabłońska-Gryżenia, head of sustainability in Raben Group – “We invite you to read the report in full to gain insights into our sustainability journey and the steps we are taking to drive positive change.”
