Raben network in Germany

2018.02.01
The beginning of 2018 for Raben Group was marked by the launch of its own transport network in Germany. Since the market entry in 2005, Raben has continued to develop on this market. The company now is ready to provide nationwide transports using its own structure. The independent network of Raben Germany is now based on 32 own branches and 46 network locations in total.

Germany is one of the biggest markets in Europe, with 80 million consumers.” - says Ewald Raben, CEO of Raben Group - “By the end of 2018, Germany will be the most important single market for us. Since the beginning of this year we already have our own independent network in the country.”

In less than 15 years after the appearance on German roads, around 3,000 employees work for the national company in the Federal Republic of Germany in order to meet the requirements of the customers.

Daniel Rösch, Managing Director of Raben Germany: "With our own network we can offer our customers higher quality of services. The flat structure, great flexibility and the quick decision-making process ensure efficient forwarding operations at a reasonable cost"

In the past two years Raben Germany has positioned itself through organic growth and targeted acquisitions to meet the challenges of freight forwarding independence in the general cargo business. Since the turn of 2016/17, among others, the transport and logistics companies Exice GmbH and RLZ Baden GmbH, the SCHMALZ + SCHÖN logistics group, the freight forwarder Busse Logistik and the former Rhenus site in Fellbach have been added for Raben network. These and other acquired companies were integrated into the German business unit Raben Group.

Raben Trans European Germany has now 32 branches throughout Germany. 3000 competent employees, around 2,000 trucks, as well as state-of-the-art technologies enable the goods to be shipped smoothly and safely. The range of services includes comprehensive logistics solutions as well as road transport (national and international distribution, FTL [Full Truck Load] and LTL [Less Than Truckload]) and sea and air freight transports. All branches work in accordance with the quality management system based on ISO 9001, ISO 50001, ISO 14001, HACCP and AEO-F certification.
