Raben Group was among the ten laureates of the 15th edition of the “Entrepreneurship Day” in the “Companies and National Institutions” category and was the only representative of the logistics sector in this group. In addition, the Honorary Committee of the program composed of: Prof. Elżbieta Mączyńska, PhD - President of the Polish Economic Society, Member of the National Development Council under the President of the Republic of Poland, Ewa Tomaszewska - Member of the Polish Parliament, and Zbigniew Modrzewski - President of the Board of the Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation, presented titles to the most active companies and regional institutions, schools and coordinators.
“We are very happy that we have repeated the success of previous years.” - says Anita Koralewska-Ratajczak, HR Director at Raben Group - the ‘Entrepreneurship Day’ is an extremely important and valuable undertaking - both nationwide, as a support for the education system, as well as for us, a representative of the logistics industry. We hope that thanks to the visits organized as part of the program, in a few years, these young people will return to Raben Group as our employees. We also must recognize all our managers who are passionate about revealing the secrets of everyday challenges at various positions in the company.”
Raben Group's tradition to participate in the “Entrepreneurship Day” is over 10 years old. The company joined the program in 2008 and since then, it has regularly hosted high school students; last year there were 5,000 of them. As a result of involvement of all companies of the Group and ten branches throughout Poland, the company offered an extensive and interesting program for schools of various specialisations. The meetings with Raben employees were attended by students of technical high schools, vocational schools and centres of continuous education; students of communication, logistics, transport and communication, future economists and car enthusiasts. The most popular among future logistics specialists was a visit in a warehouse and an interview with a truck driver. The future economists got to know the intricacies of one of the largest and most popular ERP systems in the world and had the opportunity to book the first invoice in their life. For each of the project participants, the greatest value of the program was the possibility of personal contact with representatives of the dream job. Is your career in logistics interesting? What does the forwarder's job look like? What is the difference between a forwarding company and a transport company? - these are just some of many questions answered during the meetings.
In total, the 15th edition of the program involved 668 schools, 26,487 students and volunteers, and 12,152 companies and institutions in Poland. The “Entrepreneurship Day” is organized by the Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, Mr Andrzej Duda. As part of cooperation of schools with companies and institutions, students throughout the country take one-day visits in selected companies. This allows them to gather first-hand information about education, skills or predispositions necessary for a given position, to see the relationship between education and career, and to learn more about the organization and management of businesses, and thus - to verify their ideas about the dream job.
