They Danced with Pallets for the 10th Time!

2026.05.13

Excitement, precision and excellence at the controls. The jubilee 10th edition of ‘Dancing with Pallets’ was held for the first time at the new Raben Logistics Polska branch in Poznań, bringing together 17 top forklift operators from across Poland.

On Saturday, 9 May 2026, the final of the jubilee 10th edition of the “Dancing with Pallets” competition, a forklift operator championship, took place at the Raben Logistics Polska site on Obodrzycka Street in Poznań. The best competitors, selected during local qualifying rounds, competed in two disciplines: High‑Level Pallet Stacking and the Transit Obstacle Course.

“Dancing with Pallets” is a long‑standing Raben initiative that combines elements of sports competition with everyday warehouse practice, promoting key operational values such as safety, responsibility and precision. Participants are assessed both on their theoretical knowledge of best practices and health and safety principles, as well as on practical skills requiring accuracy, smooth vehicle handling and full control of equipment. The competition also highlights the crucial role forklift operators play in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of the supply chain.

Including both local stages and the final, around 120 participants took part in the jubilee edition, confirming that “Dancing with Pallets” has become an integral part of the Raben Group’s culture of safety and competence development.

„The 10th edition of ‘Dancing with Pallets’ is a good opportunity to clearly emphasise that warehouse safety starts with skills and good habits. The competition allows us to recognise operators and strengthen a culture in which precision and responsibility are treated as everyday standards”– says Lucyna Zaborowska-Princ, Regional Director at Raben Logistics Polska.

The competition started at 10:30 a.m. Final results were determined by task accuracy, completion time and strict compliance with safety rules. Winners received trophies and cash prizes, while all participants were awarded commemorative gifts.

„This format clearly shows that theory gains value when it is applied in practice. Our involvement in ‘Dancing with Pallets’ directly supports operator development and promotes safe working standards in intralogistics, – adds Robert Matusz, Senior Key Account Manager STILL.

Finalists were selected during local qualifying rounds held across Poland in spring 2026. The competition serves as a form of recognition for the demanding daily work of forklift operators, who are responsible for the safe and efficient flow of goods within warehouses.

The importance of safety in temperature‑controlled operations is also highlighted by Fresh Logistics Polska.

In fresh logistics, speed is essential, but never at the expense of safety. ‘Dancing with Pallets’ strengthens skills, builds awareness and brings together teams from different locations, - notes Agnieszka Niemira, Contract Logistics Director at Fresh Logistics Polska.

The “Dancing with Pallets” competition has been organised in Poland since 2014 and has become a recognisable initiative of the Raben Group, combining education with elements of friendly competition. The organisers of the 2026 jubilee edition were Raben Logistics Polska and Fresh Logistics Polska, with STILL as the technical and knowledge partner.

The competition consists of two stages – local qualifiers and the final – and two disciplines: High‑Level Puzzle for high‑bay warehouse operators and the Transit Obstacle Track for cross‑dock teams.

Once again, the jubilee edition confirmed that “Dancing with Pallets” goes far beyond sports competition. The initiative supports the development of practical skills, strengthens a culture of safety and responsibility in warehouse operations, and recognises employees whose daily work underpins service quality across the entire supply chain.
