New Raben branch in 7R Beskid Park

2018.09.27
In September 2018, the branch of Raben Logistics Polska in Czechowice moved to the new location in 7R Beskid Park. The new branch has a class A warehouse and a modern office building. The depot employs 30 people and it handles about 15,000 shipments per month.

7R Beskid Park is a complex comprising two modern class A warehouses with a total capacity of about 30,000 m2, 3,440 m2 is occupied by the cross-dock warehouse and 500 m2 for offices of Raben Group The project is located in Czechowice-Dziedzice, just off the national road No. 1. The location near the Bielsko-Biała Komorowice junction allows for quick access to the city beltway, and thus to its every part. The investment is also in close proximity to the Czech and Slovak borders, which provides excellent conditions for the distribution of goods to the Central European market.

“What the 7R company offered us is primarily the very good location of the facility.  Our new warehouse is located on the DK1 road, in the central point of the region. From this place, we have practically equal distances in all directions.” - claims Małgorzata Kacyrz, Branch Manager, Raben Logistics Polska.

Raben Logistics Polska is continuously developing while ensuring the highest standards of customer service. The company is investing in new technologies and innovative solutions, as well as in warehouses which comply with the highest safety and quality standards.

“Similarly to Raben, 7R focuses on ecology. The warehouse has LED lighting and skylights to illuminate the interior with daylight, which is extremely important for the comfort of our employees. In turn, heating will be provided via ecological gas radiators. Thanks to these and other solutions, we will not only be able to provide our customers with a high level of service in the new facility and timely pick-up and delivery, but also the cost of operating the warehouse will be definitely lower.” - comments Małgorzata Kacyrz.

Facilities built in the park are characterized by the highest standard and additional conveniences like e.g. increased fire load (exceeding 4,000 MJ/m2), an increased number of light bands in the dock area, LED lighting or, for example, air strippers which will help reduce the costs of utilities.

“We are pleased that our warehouses have met Raben requirements. In order to meet them, we had to demonstrate great flexibility and, during the execution, change our original plans to build a pocket warehouse for a cross-dock facility, which the tenant expected. For Raben needs, several dedicated solutions have been introduced, e.g. lighting in the DALI system, which adapts to changing weather conditions outside, traffic lights at loading docks showing whether the truck is correctly parked at the gate, dedicated parking spaces for trucks or a power generator ensuring warehouse operations even in unforeseen situations. I believe that this is the beginning of fruitful cooperation between our companies.” – says Maciej Krawiecki, 7R SA. Leasing Director.

Modern warehouse capacity, the excellent location facilitating international transport and the developer providing tailor-made solutions are factors which turned out to be a magnet attracting leaders from the logistics industry to Czechowice.

“We always try to approach our clients individually and propose flexible solutions which meet their expectations. This approach has also worked well for 7R Beskid Park where more than half of the available space has been leased during the construction phase. This prompted us to decide on the further development of the park, where we will soon start the construction of subsequent warehouses.” - adds Maciej Krawiecki.

“Warehouse prepared by 7R is one of the strategic transloading points in the Raben Logistics Polska distribution network for the South-Western part of the country which allows for providing good service at a low cost. Products from over 200 of our customers will be delivered here. From here, we will deliver goods to our cross-dock warehouses in Poland or directly to consignees, all in accordance with the requirements of our customers. For sure, the flow of the pallets on our cross-dock will be significant. Who knows, maybe in the future we will expand our offer in this location with contract logistics and warehousing? We know that we have such opportunities and we enjoy such a perspective. After all, our branch focuses on development.” - summarizes Małgorzata Kacyrz.
