Master Truck is one of the largest truck rallies in Europe. Visitors had the opportunity to admire hundreds of tuned or vintage trucks and motorcycles. Three days of great fun, concerts, contests and positive vibrations between 19 and 21 July 2019. This was the 15th jubilee edition so the representatives of Raben Transport just had to be there. It’s safe to say that everyone in the industry knows the characteristic white semi-trailers with the green or blue stripe and the red Raben logo, isn’t it?
Raben Group offers comprehensive logistics services including contract logistics, groupage road network (domestic, international and East), transport in controlled temperatures, FTL & intermodal as well as sea and air freight. The Raben team in Poland consists of over 5,000 employees and a large fleet of 4,500 vehicles, which are driven daily by 4,500 drivers, without whom our favourite products wouldn’t be available in shops.
At Master Track 2019, they came as #MocarzeTras (this is how Raben Transport employees like to describe themselves) in a large group representing three pillars of the company business: drivers, subcontracted fleet and truck service station. For 26 years the company has been a direct employer for a large part of truck drivers working for Raben Group. The event was a fantastic opportunity to talk to drivers about their work and its conditions. There is nothing better than first-hand information collected from Raben Transport employees. They have a fleet of 180 own tractors, regularly serviced and replaced every 2-3. It is thanks to having their own truck service stations in Gądki and Bolesławiec that they can ensure the reliability of their fleet. By the way, Raben Transport Serwis celebrates its 25th anniversary of operations this year. The wide range of services and the status of an authorised service station[1] confirm the company’s extensive experience. However, Raben own fleet is not everything - Raben also cooperates with contract carriers in domestic and international transport.
So many experts in one place succeeded in attracting visitors to the Raben stand. Naturally, apart from interesting conversations and business materials, there was also time for great fun. A game of transport bingo, a contest with a reflexometer, a truck driving simulator, unlimited popcorn and cotton candy, photo contests (one of the prizes was a ride on the Lamorghini racetrack) and last but not least – the trucks. At the Raben stand, we could admire two Mercedes Actross 1845 trucks and the historic Scania-Vabis L56 from 1960, nicknamed “Rabcia” [Granny].
After all, behind every big company there are people who are its face and silent heroes. Every opportunity to get to know them is very valuable and noteworthy. In the case of Master Truck and Raben, we had the opportunity to meet real positively-obsessed transport freaks - #MocarzeTras, who have been building Polish and international logistics for over 28 years of Raben Group's existence on the Polish market.
