In Raben Group, entrepreneurship is in our blood

The Entrepreneurship Day is an educational program for high school students. The idea behind it is to engage adults - volunteers from companies and institutions - in education of young people. Thanks to the involvement of such people, students all over the country can spend several hours in a specific workplace. During that time they are able to set their impressions of a specific profession against reality; they learn its characteristics and receive all practical information from the volunteer that would be impossible to get through academic knowledge or studying course books and manuals.

In 2016, the Entrepreneurship Day involved over 36 thousand students from 699 high schools and 36 thousand volunteers from over 14 thousand businesses and institutions.

Representatives of the most active companies received statuettes and diplomas from Iwona Sroka, the Chairperson of the Foundation Board, and Ewa Tomaszewska, MP, member of the Honorary Committee of the Entrepreneurship Day. On behalf of Raben, the diploma was presented to Jarosław Skupiński, HR Business Partner, who coordinates the program in Raben Group.

For young people, the Entrepreneurship Day is a unique opportunity to come into first contact with a profession and gain valuable experience.  In Raben Group we are always ready to share our knowledge and we are glad we can assist young talents in taking smart decisions about their future education and professional career. – says Jarosław Skupiński, and he adds – "This year we again organize the Entrepreneurship Day which, due to the scale of the event in our company, is called the Week of Entrepreneurship".

In 2017, the Week of Entrepreneurship in Raben Group will be held on April 24-28.  18 depots of the company in 7 countries will be involved. The plan of visits of logistics high school students involves: interactive workshops called "the Way of the Product" run by specialists from various departments or a guided tour of a warehouse. Additional attractions will be sitting in a cabin of a truck, a talk with a driver, and a contest with prizes.

The Entrepreneurship Day has been organized in Raben Group Business Units since 2008. In 2016, a total of 520 students took an active part in the event.
