2019.10.03
More than 10,000 healthy breakfasts served to employees in accordance with the latest recommendations of the National Food and Nutrition Institute and over 20,000 litres of rubbish collected as part of the Clean Up the World action. Additionally, bicycle trips, eco workshops, dietician's advice and actions promoting drinking water and the food pyramid according to Prof. M. Jarosz. This is a short summary of the Healthy Week, which has been organized in Raben Group for the 9th time.

Raben Group has been organizing the Healthy Week for many years in order to take care of the health and well-being of its employees and drivers. This year's theme was the healthy diet and responsible production and consumption, as well as the promotion of a zero-waste lifestyle.

Thanks to a series of newsletters, the employees could take advantage of the advice of a well-known dietician Viola Urban who disclosed the secrets of flexitarianism to the participants of the program in an interesting way and explained the necessity of drinking sufficient quantities of water so as to always keep “a sound mind in a sound body”. There was also advice on how to prepare a healthy breakfast for work so that it is not only good for our health, but above all for the well-being of our planet.

During the five-day program, a healthy breakfast was prepared for all employees based on the recommendations of the National Food and Nutrition Institute, and a bicycle trip was organized for more active personnel, which was combined with the Clean Up the World action and ended with a feast by the campfire. A total of 150 volunteers across Poland collected almost 20,000 litres of rubbish. There were also eco workshops in the form of painting and building nest boxes for birds.

“When preparing the plan for the Healthy Week, we try to respond to the needs of the participants, but also to address current issues related to social and environmental changes. In today's world, ecological problems are becoming one of the most important challenges for humanity. Therefore, in this year's edition we decided to focus on activities promoting healthy nutrition but also in the context of taking care of the well-being of our planet” - comments Jakub Krzewina, Internal Communication and CSR Manager.
