One of the largest logistics companies which operates in Poland and in 12 other countries of Europe - the family company Raben Group - has been cooperating with Mercedes-Benz for many years now. Vehicles of different capacity and specifications supply the own fleet of the operator as well as its subcontractors in several European countries. The confirmation and the next stage of development is the latest purchase of 35 Mercedes-Benz trucks, which included the 400th new Actros in the fleet of Raben Group. This was the occasion for the ceremonious handover of the vehicle on May 8, 2018, in the newly opened location of Mercedes-Benz Trucks Polska, and at the same time the seat of Mercedes-Benz Trucks Warszawa in Emilianów near Warsaw. The event was attended by the General Director of Raben Transport, Paweł Trębicki, and the company Branch Manager from Legnica - Hubert Tyka. Mercedes-Benz Trucks was represented by the Managing Director Przemysław Rajewski and Janusz Rachwał, Head of Fleet Sales. The handover of the 400th Actros was also attended by the representative of Daimler AG, Joachim Schield.
”I remember that when making a decision to purchase the first group of vehicles, we had been considering for a long time if the higher purchase price would actually be set off by lower maintenance costs. We also weren’t sure of other benefits recommended by the manufacturer. Fortunately the declarations were true and today we are receiving the 400th truck. This particular vehicle will supply the fleet of our Polish company - Raben Transport, which specializes in full-truck load transports. Over 50% of orders which the company executes are for the automotive sector where there is no place for any technical problems. We are really satisfied with the cooperation with Mercedes-Benz and we particularly value their reliability, comfort for drivers, low fuel consumption and many active safety systems which mitigate significant risks on the road.” – said Paweł Trębicki, General Director of Raben Transport, receiving the symbolic key to the vehicle.
”I am proud that the promise we give to our customers expressed in the motto “Trucks you can trust”, has been confirmed in reality and it translates into such strong and long-term business relations with one of the largest enterprises of the transport sector” – said Przemysław Rajewski, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Trucks Polska. – ”I believe that the cooperation will continue to develop because I know that the most valued advantages of our trucks: fuel efficiency, safety and reliability are constant and they will always help our customers in developing the quality of their business.
Raben Transport will receive the total of 35 Actros 1845 trucks with StreamSpace cabs, with latest generation OM 471 engines, 450 horse power, 2200 Nm torque, the Mercedes PowerShift 3 automatic transmission and the Predictive Powertrain Control (PPC) system. The comfort of driver's work will be facilitated by the new engine-off air conditioning.
Congratulations and I’m glad that the trucks with the silver start belonging to such a big company as Raben Group will be driving on the roads of the whole Europe – summarised Joachim Schield, representative of Daimler AG.
The ceremony finished with the symbolic handover of the special Actros - naturally in Raben Group company colours.
