On October 15, 2016, between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm, Raben Group employees are going to plant 3,200 trees in Stanisławowo near Pruszcz Gdański. The plants will neutralize over 2,400,000 kg of carbon dioxide during their lifecycle. The planting campaign is the result of the e-invoice=higher culture campaign in which Raben Group encourages its Customers to give up paper invoices and switch to their electronic equivalents. For each consent to receiving e-invoices, the company plants a tree on behalf of the Customer. So far 7,500 trees have been planted which already neutralized 5,625,000 kg of CO2 in their life cycle.
Raben Group invited also the local community to the event taking place on October 15.“The main responsibility of a logistics company is the care for the natural environment. The e-invoice=higher culture campaign increases the awareness among our Customers of the fact that sometimes a small step is all that takes to achieve a significant result. Giving up paper invoices not only reduces the consumption of paper and limits deforestation, but it also gives life to a new plant which will neutralize 750 kg of carbon dioxide in its life cycle. Already more than 60% of our Customers have opted for electronic versions of our documents and thanks to them we have been able to plant almost 11,000 trees” – comments Marta Szymborska, PR and CSR Manager. Some of the trees for the October event have also been purchased as a result of an agreement between Raben Group and its Customer in which every filled-in questionnaire of the Customer Satisfaction Survey equals one tree planted by the company. The partner of the campaign is the Aeris Futuro foundation, the only Polish organization which comprehensively deals with projects which offset greenhouse gas emissions by planting trees, increasing energy efficiency and the application of renewable sources of energy (carbon offset). You can find an exact place of the planting below.
