Poland notes regular fluctuations of average fuel prices which are influenced, above all, by the changes of prices of these products and of oil on the world markets and PLN to USD exchange rate fluctuations. Therefore, in ongoing settlements with Customers, Fresh Logistics Polska uses fuel adjustment which takes into account the fluctuations of fuel prices and the share of fuel in transport costs.
The applied solution is based on changes of average prices of Diesel oil according to the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels published on the official website of this institution. The idea of the solution is the automatic adjustment of prices of rendered services in case of a change of the average monthly price of Diesel oil in comparison to the base price.
The average monthly price of Diesel oil according to the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels in September 2024 was: PLN 6.04 gross/litre, the value less VAT is: 4.91 net / l. This value is a base for calculating the value of fuel adjustment in October 2024. The level of the index results from the share of fuel costs and may change together with the change in the cost structure.
